Sugar N Spice is not just a business; it's a cause. Founded and owned by Regina Deck, a registered nurse, we offer an individualized and person-centered approach to care, providing on-demand services that promote well-being and hope for both the care recipient and the family caregiver.

Our Unique Approach

One distinct benefit of our services is that we are not home health aides. Our staff is life-enhancement caregivers, many of whom are nursing school students, certified geriatric nursing assistants, or medical assistants with specialized training in musculoskeletal health, post-hospital and post-rehab care, dementia/mental health and wellness, and cardiovascular and renal health. When you choose our services, we match the care recipient's needs with the skill set of the best available life-enhancement caregiver.

Our Goals

  Sugar N Spice is DIFFERENT and here is HOW WE CAN HELP:

 

1. We can provide family caregiver relief by helping as little or as much as you need. We do not require a minimum number of hours to start services. You can stop and start services whenever you need help. 

2. We can take some tasks off your plate so you can focus on your own needs. We can take your aging parent to appointments, pick up medications, grocery shop, prepare meals, go on walks and provide socialization, assist with exercises to keep them strong and moving. 

3. Our schedules are flexible enough to fit any budget. Since we don't require a minimum number of hours, our schedules can be configured to fit in your budget. We offer multiple rates, so you choose what works for you. 

4. We find and train reliable and trustworthy caregivers, so you don't have to. There are over 10 steps to our background process. Our promise is that we only place caregivers in your home that we would trust in our own homes. 

5. We offer a FREE In-Home consultation. We can open an account and be your on-call back-up plan in case you need us for an emergency or much needed weekend off. 

6. Keeping your loved one in their own environment as long as possible is our specialty. We can provide up to 24-hour care, including hospice assistance as needed. There is no need to move, if Sugar N Spice is part of their journey. 

7. Our client's families are our families too. We care about the health and wellbeing of the whole family unit and are here to support you with creative solutions. Our nursing staff are local to Flagstaff and are hands on. A nurse will perform the intake visit and are available to provide in-home nursing assessments and phone consultations as needed. ​
